MÉRIDA, Yucatán, (January 8, 2022) .- This is the medical report for Friday, January 7: The administration of the second dose of the Coronavirus vaccine from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer continues to adolescents between the ages of 15 and 17 who live in Mérida, a process that will take place until Sunday, January 9.

  • 10 in Hunucmá,
  • 9 in Acanceh,
  • 8 in Motul and Tixkokob,
  • 5 foreigners,
  • 5 in Tekax, Ticul, Umán,
  • 4 in Maxcanú and Sucilá,
  • 3 in Conkal and Cuncunul,
  • 2 in Temozón, Baca, Cacalchén, Izamal, Muxupip, Peto and Tzucacab,
  • 1 in Chicxulub Pueblo, Halachado, Hocabá, Ixil, Sacalum, Sinanché, Tinum, Tixméhuac, Uayma and Yobaín

Of the 79,347 positive cases, 640 are from another country or another state

Specifically, in Mérida, 48,421 people have been diagnosed with Coronavirus (accumulated cases as of January 6), living in:

  • 11,750 in the Poniente area

Unfortunately, in this medical report we report 2 deaths:

1.- Male 72 years from Progreso. HAS

2.- 63-year-old female from Mérida. Cardiovascular disease / DM / SAH

In total, 6,495 people have died from the Coronavirus in Yucatan ever since the pandemic started.

Of the active cases, 1,512 are stable, isolated, monitored by SSY medical personnel; have mild symptoms.

As already mentioned, 54 of the positive cases are in public hospitals and in total isolation. There are other patients awaiting diagnosis.

The age range of the cases is from 1 month to 107 years.
