Quinatana Roo, (January 6, 2022).- In Quintana Roo, 2022 began with a new type of crime in Cancun, January 4, the second robbery with violence was registered.

A real estate saleswoman was cited, through Facebook, to show a house, where she was attacked with a knife and was close to being raped.

The young woman who identified herself as VIMH, 27, never imagined that she would spend moments of anguish and terror in the hands of who she believed was a client looking for a house to rent.

After the arrival of the ministerial agents, the woman gave her statement of the facts, noting that two weeks ago a subject contacted her through the Facebook platform, asking her if she could show him some houses for rent.

During those days, the real estate saleswoman showed him two houses, however, as it was not to the taste of the client, the lease was not finalized.

The woman pointed out that on Wednesday, January 5, she was showing the man a third house, located at Supermanzana 23, block 40, on Flamboyan Street.

Terrifying moments

The appointment was at 11:30 in the morning, where the alleged client, who identified himself as “Luis”, appeared. After spending several minutes checking the housing unit, the subject told VIMH that there were problems with the water service.

And that was when, as they entered one of the bathrooms in the (main) bedroom located on the third floor, the subject took advantage of the carelessness of the young woman, held her from behind, and threatened her with a knife.

The man started inappropriately touching her, she tried to defend herself but the aggressor continued abusing her.

In the end, VIMH was able to escape from the property and she immediately called 911.
