Ximena García activist of the LGBTIII community and member of the National Secretariat for Sexual Diversity of AMLO’s Morena political party, was murdered with a knife last Saturday, January 22nd.
(MEXICO CITY – FGE).- According to what was established in the investigation folder with termination 62/01-2022, the transsexual woman was admitted to the General Hospital of the Cuauhtémoc District, after being attacked in the Azcapotzalco District.
A few hours later , the 24-year-old victim died as a result of the injury she had on her abdomen caused by a knife attack.
Hospital authorities notified the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office of the death of the activist, whose body was transferred to the ministerial amphitheater, where it was delivered to her relatives on Monday, Jan. 24th.
So far in the investigation folder there are no details on how exactly the events occurred and about the probable person or persons responsible for the murder of the Morena party militant.
However, Ulises Lara López, spokesman for the capital’s Prosecutor’s Office, assured that the Public Ministry has already intervened the staff of the General Coordination of Forensic Investigation and Expert Services to gather evidence.
In addition, he said that, as part of the action protocol, agents of the Investigative Police have also been given the task of carrying out field and cabinet work, such as the analysis of public and private video surveillance cameras, and location potential witnesses to clarify the facts.
In a message to the media, the official explained that the Prosecutor’s Office for the Investigation of Crimes Committed against Priority Attention Groups, of the General Coordination for the Investigation of Gender Crimes and Attention to Victims, will attract the case to continue with the investigations. to clarify the homicide.
On January 16th, the LGBTIII community activist Natalia Lane was also attacked with a knife while she was in a hotel in the Portales neighborhood, Benito Juárez district of Mexico City.
