As announced, the fourteen-monthly report on the status of the coronavirus in Yucatán was issued this Monday, October 10th, and according to the corresponding report, from September 26 to October 7, only 20 Covid infections were reported and with only one death.

Due to the low numbers reported by Covid-19 in the previous weeks, the authorities decided to eliminate the daily reports and announced that they would be presented every fourteen days.

Between September 26th and October 7th, 20 infections were recorded, which added to the previous report would give a total of 137,618 positive cases in Yucatán over the course of the pandemic. A total of 130,429 of these cases are patients who have already recovered.

It was reported that only one person had died from the pandemic as of October 7, giving a total of 7062 accumulated deaths in more than two and a half years of the pandemic.

Although the Covid-19 figures are very low, the prevention efforts do not cease, since yesterday the application of the second dose to children from 5 to 11 years of age in Mérida concluded, in addition to the arrival of a new batch of vaccines to Yucatán to continue with the preventive work.
