The Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) informed that 13 people were detained between Chicxulub Puerto and Uaymitún for drunkenness and disorderly conduct on public roads, and three more for drug possession and altering the public order.

In a press release, the state agency highlighted that the agents stationed at the preventive control post located at Kilometer 17 + 900 of the Progreso-Telchac Puerto highway, received a report of people being rowdy at a beach entrance in Uaymitún.

For this reason, they went to verify the report and detained a 26-year-old woman from the state of Tabasco and two men, 21 and 35 years old, from the State of Mexico. All three were carrying cannabis.

A little later, an arrest was made in the same area, also as a result of a citizen’s report.

One woman and 12 men between 21 and 39 years of age were arrested for drunkenness and disorderly conduct and were taken to the public jail.

Among the detainees are people from Yucatan, Tabasco, State of Mexico, Mexico City, and two men from Venezuela.
