MÉRIDA, Yucatan, March 15, 2023.- This Wednesday, the progress of front No. 39 will generate downpours over the Yucatan Peninsula. This front will move towards the Caribbean Sea, ceasing to affect Mexican territory after tonight.

Specifically in the Yucatan Peninsula, cloudy skies are forecast for most of the day with a probability of downpours accompanied by thundershowers in regions of Campeche, Yucatan and Quintana Roo. Fog banks at dawn in areas of Campeche and Quintana Roo. Temperate atmosphere during the morning and warm in the afternoon, being hot in areas of Campeche. North wind from 10 to 25 km/h with gusts of 40 to 50 km/h in the region.

A semi-stationary cold front is located to the north of the peninsula, which will bring fragmented cloudiness during the day, that is, partly cloudy to medium cloudy skies with the potential for isolated light to moderate downpours mainly during the morning and afternoon hours.

With the proximity of this front a relatively cool air mass is over our area, therefore, maximum temperatures this afternoon between 30 and 33°C; minimum temperatures at dawn on Thursday will be pleasant to somewhat cool in most of the state between 15 and 19°C.

Winds will blow from the northeast with some gusts between 30 and 40 km/h.
