With six routes available, the state has a new tourist product called “Vuela Yucatán by Ifly”, which represents an opportunity to enjoy a different perspective of the state’s landscapes: from the air.

Flights on five Pipistrel Virus two-seater aircraft of the latest generation will have the support of the Association of Tourism Promotion Agencies of Yucatan, and the Mexican Association of Hotels in Yucatan, whose leaders, Daniel Escalante Lombard and Juan Jose Martin Pacheco, respectively, attended the protocol ceremony.

In fact, it was mentioned that promotion will be made in establishments that receive guests with high purchasing power, such as the Hotel Chablé, whose manager, Oscar Quijano, has personally tested the aerial tour that lasted one hour

The project was presented by the chief pilot of the Ifly Aviation School, Captain Juan Cardona Caraveo, who before the head of Sefotur, Michelle Fridman Hirsch, and congressman Rommel Pacheco Marrufo, said that they also offer the Cenotes and Haciendas route, which has a duration of 2 hours, flying over Homún, Izamal, Xcambó and Dzibilchaltún,

The Flamingos Route passes through Sisal and Celestún; while another called the Archaeological Route passes through Chichén Itzá, Ek Balam and Valladolid.

The menu of options is complemented by the Puuc Route, which takes in the skies of Mayapán, Maní, San Marcelino and Uxmal; as well as the Las Coloradas Aerial Route, which also offers spectacular views of Río Lagartos and El Cuyo.

In his speech, Rommel Pacheco pointed out that at the end of last year he presented an initiative to request more support from the executive for tourism promotion through embassies.

For her part, the head of Sefotur, Michelle Fridman Hirsch, celebrated the fact that Yucatán can be toured by sea, land and now also by air, and what better way than with highly experienced pilots who are in charge of training future Volaris pilots.

She highlighted that the World Tourism Organization recognized the state observatory on tourism as sustainable; and that Yucatán is the fourth state that receives the most investment in tourism, with more than 30 billion pesos raised during the current administration.

At the end of the ceremony, Michell Fridman, Rommel Pacheco and the manager of Hotel Chablé, as well as two other guests, boarded the aircraft to inaugurate the project.
