Hooded and armed individuals set fire to three bars in Morelia, located in the Altozano residential area, on Saturday morning.
According to the report received by the emergency services, at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, the manager of one of the affected businesses requested the presence of security and firefighters, due to the fire in a bar located in this area south of Morelia.
The worker informed the Public Safety officers that previously, a group of five hooded and armed men violently entered the bar where several people were still in the bar.
After the attack, the criminals threatened the bar staff with weapons and demanded that they leave the place, since the attack, the criminals told the employees, was not against them.
Subsequently, the criminals sprayed gasoline, set fire and left in an Aveo vehicle, heading to another bar located in the same area, which was also set on fire.
The final result was that three bars were set on fire: ‘Mint‘, ‘Vertical‘ and ‘Luv‘, as confirmed by the Attorney General’s Office (FGE). The institution indicated that it is already investigating the damages to the three establishments to clarify the origin of the fires.
