Oaxacan Guelaguetza Festival moves to Francisco de Montejo

MÉRIDA, Yucatan – From Friday, March 24 through Sunday, April 16, the Oaxaca and the Guelaguetza festival will be set up in ‘Los Paseos’ in Francisco de Montejo, north of Mérida.

The vendors will be located on the avenue, on the corner of 60 and 51, near the State High School number 8 “Carlos Castillo Peraza” in Francisco de Montejo.

There will be delicious tlayudas, quesadillas, sweets, ice cream, string cheese, and many other gastronomic products.

In addition to the sale of traditional food, there will be handicrafts, regional clothing, toys and textiles.

There will also be various cultural events such as music by Oaxacan and Yucatecan troubadours, as well as traditional dances.

The festival will be open from 9 am to 10 pm. Admission is free. The artistic-cultural program will be from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
