Italian fashion house Versace made its Fall/Winter 2023 runway show a star-studded event on Thursday, moving its runway show from Milan to Los Angeles three days before this year’s Oscar ceremony.
Held on the rooftop terrace of the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, the outdoor show was moved up a day due to a forecast of heavy rain. Singers Dua Lipa, Cher, Elton John and Lil Nas X, actors Anne Hathaway, Ke Huy Quan and Demi Moore and TV personalities Christine Quinn and Tan France were among the celebrity guests.
Gigi Hadid led the models on the runway dressed in a black pencil skirt and off-the-shoulder blazer. Black featured heavily in designer Donatella Versace’s collection, along with touches of orange and pink.
Dresses were often short, made of silk and paired with long opera gloves. Versace offered denim pants and jackets for more casual options.
Men wore snakeskin leather, jackets and blouses with sequins and square-toed shoes.
