Within the framework of the centenary of the creation of the Yucatecan song “Peregrina”, Professor Luis Pérez Sabido, made use of the highest tribune of the Legislative Power to express before the deputies and the public present that this melody composed by the poet Luis Rosado Vega and the troubadour composer Ricardo Palmerín Pavía, frames the romance of the journalist Alma Red with the then governor Felipe Carrillo Puerto.
In his speech, Professor Pérez Sabido pointed out that the song “Peregrina” has been the most widespread of the Yucatecan trova under the voice of characters such as Nicolás Urcelay, Jorge Negrete, Pedro Infante, Plácido Domingo, Los Panchos, among others, without leave aside the interpretation of the Yucalpetén Typical Orchestra.
The president of the Ricardo Palmerín Artistic Society, an association that promotes the commemorative celebrations of the Centenary of the creation of the emblematic Yucatecan song “Peregrina“, thanked the LXIII Legislature for allowing us to tell the story and the details that make this song part of the legacy of our state.
In ordinary session and as part of the matters in the portfolio, the deputies approved by majority, with the vote against Morena, the opinion of the Commission for Surveillance of the Public Account, Transparency and Anti-Corruption, where they list 103 individual reports of the audit of the Public Account 2021 and that correspond to 45 entities and 58 between municipalities and para-municipals.
On the subject, the deputy of Morena, Rafael Echazarreta Torres, explained that his vote against derives from the lack of confidence that ASEY has towards the work that has been carried out has hinted that the analysis is speculative and there is no follow-up.

In general matters, the deputy of Morena, Alejandra Novelo Segura presented a point of agreement, which was admitted for second reading, in which an exhortation is made to the State Government to present a detailed report of the cyberattack that occurred last Sunday, December 26. March and for the State Congress, within the scope of its powers, to create a special commission to establish or, where appropriate, strengthen the cyber defense mechanisms in the applicable legislation.

Trova exhibition
As part of the activities of the Bicentennial of the Installation of the Augusto Constituent Congress of the State of Yucatan, an exhibition called “100 years of Pilgrim, a love story told in trova” was held on the esplanade of the Legislative Power. At the end of the ordinary session, the deputies accompanied by Professor Luis Pérez Sabido made a tour to appreciate the brief biographies of the main authors and inspirations of the emblematic song.
