The events occurred on Wednesday, April 26, in the afternoon when personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) and agents of the State Investigation Police (PEI) of the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) arrived at the port of Cuyo to follow up on a court order.

The security authorities arrived at a property located on 17th Street in the mentioned port, where they placed restriction and property seizure seals, so 45 people were asked to leave the premises.

This eviction of these people took place after the company Autobuses del Noreste S.A. de C.V. filed a complaint with the Public Ministry claiming ownership of the property, alleging they were stripped of it.

A few months ago, local residents arrived at the property in question, which was used as an illegal dump; they cleaned it up and set up a craft market there.

Once the place was put into operation, the bus company that owns the property complained and the artisans were evicted.
