Man convicted for violent robbery of more than 250 thousand pesos in Merida

The man, along with other persons also on trial, subdued two women inside their house in Mérida to steal jewelry, watches and cash.

Charged with the crime of aggravated robbery committed with violence and in a gang, O.E.R.E. was found guilty for the events that occurred four years ago in Mérida.

It was on June 26, 2019 when the accused and other persons, who are also being prosecuted, entered a house in the Bosques del Poniente subdivision.

Inside said property, they subdued two women who were inside to seize jewelry, watches, a safe with $220,000 pesos, a cell phone, a wallet containing various cards and $15,000 pesos in cash.

After the facts, the alleged perpetrators were arrested and placed at the disposal of the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE).

The Third Unitary Court issued the conviction after proving the participation of the accused in the facts denounced in criminal case 211/2019, which was heard in the Second Control Court of the First Judicial District.

Following the issuance of the conviction for the crime of aggravated robbery committed with violence and in a gang, the parties were summoned for the reading of the sentence on April 18.
