Police car collides with private vehicle in Progreso, Yucatán; six people injured

Progreso, Yucatan. – Six members of the Secretaría de Seguridad Pública (SSP) were injured and wounded when the van in which they were patrolling collided with a private vehicle on the highway leading to the Chelem police station.

The incident occurred in front of the gas station located at the Yucalpetén harbor and the area was closed due to the situation of the injured, among them the police officers.

A preliminary report indicated that a white car in which a progressive family was traveling collided with the patrol car.

Four ambulances arrived to the site to provide attention to the injured.

While this was happening, the driver of a water pipe rammed a young delivery boy who was about to climb the Yucalpetén bridge.
