The proximity of Cold Front number 47 to the Yucatan Peninsula will cause some rains of different intensities over the state starting from April 10th.

According to the State Coordination of Civil Protection, a brief period with the potential for rain is forecasted, starting from this Monday until April 12th.

Rains are expected in the North of Yucatan, which will represent a parenthesis to the prevailing dry conditions and, together with the scarce rains in March, will contribute to the humidity in the territory.

The National Meteorological Service (SMN) announced that between April 10th and 12th, there is an expected gradual increase in the potential for rain, as a result of the proximity of Cold Front number 47 located in the Gulf of Mexico, to the North of Yucatan.

Subsequently, it will enhance its effects by being reinforced or replaced by a new frontal system, which will move over the state, causing light and occasionally moderate rains.

These will increase their intensity, as on April 11th, moderate rains will occur in the West and Center, as well as strong in the East and South of the state, accompanied by electrical activity.

For April 12th, it is expected that their effects will decrease to light rains, causing fewer effects during the rest of the week.

Due to the presence of rain, a slight cooling in the environment can be perceived, and the minimum temperatures will be from 18 to 20°C in the interior of the state, and from 19 to 21°C in the coastal area.

Likewise, the maximum temperatures will remain warm with records ranging from 36 to 38°C and from 29 to 31°C respectively.
