MÉRIDA, Yucatan – The municipality of Conkal now has a Municipal Women’s Institute, and the rehabilitation of the Health Center in the Xcuyún “Comisaría” was also completed.
On a working tour of the municipality, Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal cut the inaugural ribbon on the Municipal Women’s Institute and handed over the rehabilitation work on the Health Center.
The General Director of the Institute for the Construction and Conservation of Public Works (INCCOPY), Virgilio Crespo Méndez, explained that the Health Center’s waiting room, vaccination, nutrition, general medicine, cures, Cedathos, pharmacy, kitchen, and staff and public bathrooms were all renovated.
Improvements
Ventilation equipment, air conditioners, toilets, lighting, hydraulic and sanitary resources were also installed.
Floors were replaced, a treatment was applied to preserve the exterior walls and antibacterial paint was applied to the interior walls, and on the exterior, access sidewalks, façade, protective mesh and landscaping details were rehabilitated.
The Health Center was provided with new furniture, medical and technological equipment, with an investment of more than 2.1 million pesos, benefiting almost 2,000 inhabitants of Conkal.
Afterwards, Vila Dosal went to the 24/7 Medical module of this community, where he verified the proper functioning of the space, which provides complementary care to the inhabitants of this area, so that they can count on health services, every day of the week, 24 hours a day.
