Mérida has an endless number of amenities and malls for shopping or different recreational activities, but which is the largest in the city?
In May 2018, the largest shopping plaza in Yucatán was inaugurated; Plaza La Isla, located in Cabo Norte. This one is by the company Gicsa.
In about 100,000 square meters, the commercial space has different recreational areas for visitors to enjoy, with the largest number of shops, services, and stores in one mall.
The plaza has a residential area, a 140-room hotel to start with. So your visit can be short or extend for a lifetime. Living close by you could enjoy everything the mall has to offer when you need it.
Likewise, there is a man-made lake and green areas at La Isla. The lake not only functions as a visual attraction but also as a place for water sports.
Inside the shopping plaza there is a wide variety of international stores, which, in fact, can only be found in this place. As well as those found in other places, but with a greater variety of products or larger spaces.
