Collisions were not lacking this weekend, marked by a massive arrival of tourists who, unaware of the city’s streets, caused several incidents on the roads in the city center. Luckily for those involved, there were no serious injuries.
The most serious collision occurred on 86th Street at 23rd, within the downtown area and just meters from the high pier, when a Chevrolet car with license plate ZBV-172-R came out of its parking space and was hit on the right side by a Freightliner truck with federal license plate 08-AM-8A.
The point of collision was located just a couple of meters from the Progreso Red Cross station, so paramedics from this organization came out to attend to the driver who did not notice the approach of the giant truck.
The affected person identified himself as Saúl Chan, 39 years old, who ended up with a nervous crisis and no serious injuries. The only thing that the driver regretted was that he had to spend several hours at this point repairing the damages along with his insurance company and the company responsible for the truck he collided with.
