Inhabitants of this town are fearful after learning that allegedly someone from the same community attempted to perform acts of witchcraft against a respected family.

According to reports, someone had left a skull in a bag at the doorstep of the home belonging to Mrs. Eriberta C. D., 44 years old.

The skull, apparently taken from the local cemetery, was wrapped in a blue bag and accompanied by remnants of black and red candle wax with some sort of curse.

While several neighbors of the family expressed fear after the macabre discovery this morning, others mentioned that leaving witchcraft objects at someone’s door is one thing, but physical harm is an entirely different matter.

Given the circumstances, authorities were notified following the finding, and soon after, officers from the Public Security Secretariat and personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) arrived in the community to address the matter.

After the news spread, the people in this municipality began making all sorts of comments, and more than one admitted to feeling extremely frightened, believing that harm can truly be inflicted through witchcraft.

Mercedes C. D., who hesitantly spoke about the matter with a bit of fear, mentioned that evil forces exist and should not be invoked, especially against another person, as it is the work of the devil.

She also pointed out that another concerning situation in the community is the fact that someone dared to desecrate the cemetery, remove a deceased person’s skull, and use it in a black mass to harm someone.

For now, municipal commissioner Fidelia Canché Cetzal requested the support of police officers, who proceeded to cordon off the area until the arrival of the responsible personnel from the Prosecutor’s Office and the respective forensic experts.

Once FGE personnel and other experts arrived, the skull was collected by the forensic doctor and taken to Valladolid.
