One of the main challenges facing municipal and state governments is choosing viable projects that promote a transition to smart cities and realistically impact their communities in the shortest possible time.
It is a matter of adopting initiatives that crystallize quickly, offering quantifiable results in the short term. For this, it is not necessary to “invent the black thread”, but rather to adapt solutions that have already been tested.
One scenario for these ideas is the Smart City Expo LATAM Congress to be held May 23-25 in the city of Merida, Yucatan, which will bring together leaders of the urban sector to discuss the latest trends in technology and sustainability in cities and whose motto this year is: viable projects, real impacts.
With the objective of promoting technological actions for Latin American cities, innovative projects, as well as new financing models for leaders to make more sustainable decisions for the planet, the Smart City Expo LATAM Congress is one of the most important events in Latin America that focuses on technological and sustainable solutions for cities and for this eighth edition, the participation of 10 thousand accredited attendees is expected, as well as the presence of representatives from more than 300 cities and 45 countries.
In addition, more than 200 institutions and companies, more than 300 speakers, and more than a hundred mayors from Mexico and Latin America will attend.
During the three days of the congress, guest speakers and experts will share knowledge and debate on different topics covering initiatives, programs, and solutions that respond to the present needs and future challenges of Latin American cities.
The Smart City Expo LATAM Congress will present solutions in different areas such as urban spaces, digital transformation, climate change and sustainable territories, smart destinations, connected society, and cities that care.
This event is a great opportunity for urban sector leaders and technology companies to present their projects to improve the quality of life in cities.
The Smart City Expo LATAM Congress is also an opportunity for urban sector leaders and decision-makers to share experiences and learn from the best practices of other countries. In this sense, the event is expected to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing among participants.
In addition to the conferences and exhibitions, the Smart City Expo LATAM Congress also includes the presentation of the LATAM Smart City Awards 2023. These awards recognize the most outstanding projects in sustainability and technology in Latin America.
The Smart City Expo LATAM Congress will present solutions on various topics such as urban spaces, digital transformation, climate change and sustainable territories, smart destinations, connected society, and cities that care.
