Andrés Manuel López Obrador, president of Mexico, said that he will send a document to the ministers of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) to explain why they earn more than him, when it should not be so.
“I am going to present through the Segob a document addressed to the Supreme Court of Justice so that they answer me within the term established by this order, why they violate the Constitution, especially why they violate article 127 of the Constitution that establishes that no one should earn more than the President of the Republic and they earn four or five times more than what I earn,” he announced.
He said that they must respond to him in five days so that he can inform the Mexican people and that he hopes they will rectify their position in an “act of good sense.”
