Birds on the runway at Merida International Airport forced the crew of Volaris flight 5196 to circle before landing.

The presence of birds on the runway at 09:06 hours according to passengers caused the plane to circle the area before landing normally.

The flight from Monterrey to the city of Merida was affected for several minutes, according to the testimonies of some passengers.

Although this did not cause any inconvenience, the flight had to circle around Merida before landing at the airport while personnel chased the birds away.
