Drunk driver falls asleep and crashes into a post in Campeche

State agents secured a man in a complete state of drunkenness after falling asleep while driving his compact car in the vicinity of the Peña neighborhood, which crashed slightly against the pole, while the responsible party, upon seeing the police presence, tried to flee, but was immediately prevented from doing so.

The events occurred during the night hours, when neighbors of the artery known as Circuito Constitución observed the white Chevrolet Chevy heading towards the Plan Chac housing unit, but during the trip they observed when the vehicle lost speed and went into the sidewalk after invading the lane and slightly crashed against a pole.

This action caught the attention of the witnesses who thought that the young man had had a problem and ran to his aid, but discovered that the driver was lying on the steering wheel sleeping due to his drunkenness, they tried to wake him up several times, but when they were unable to do so they reported to the emergency number.

But a few meters from the arrival of the uniformed, the young driver woke up and tried to flee, but this action was prevented by the security personnel who surrounded him and took him down, in his defense the offender alleged that he was asleep, but had not consumed alcohol, this version was denied due to his breath, so he accepted that he was at a family reunion.

Although the damages were not considered regular, the officers proceeded to arrest the driver, who was affected by the alcoholic substances, and was taken administratively to the Secretariat of Citizen Protection and Security (SPSC), where he was released after a few hours.

Meanwhile, the vehicle was towed by a tow truck and taken to a warehouse where it will remain until payment of the fine for drunk driving and release.
