It seems that the third heatwave will ease up in Yucatán, as a decrease in temperatures is expected this weekend, along with rainfall in some areas of the city of Mérida. Precautions should still be taken.

According to the forecast from the National Water Commission (Conagua), the upcoming days are expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with a chance of scattered showers and strong thunderstorms. The weather will be very hot to extremely hot during the day and warm at night.

Cloud cover is expected to gradually increase in the three states of the region due to the moisture associated with the passage of Tropical Wave No. 6, combined with the instability of a trough.

The weather will be hot to very hot during the afternoon and warm at night, with prevailing winds from the east-southeast at 15 to 25 kilometers per hour and gusts of over 40 kilometers per hour in coastal areas.

The temperature forecast for the city of Mérida ranges from 32 to 36 °C as the maximum and 23 to 25 °C as the minimum. For the interior of the state.
