On Monday, June 19th, a high-pressure circulation in the mid-levels of the atmosphere will maintain the third heatwave in Mexico, with temperatures exceeding 40 °C in 24 states of the country, particularly in Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Veracruz, Tabasco, Campeche, and Yucatán. According to the National Meteorological Service (SMN), the maximum temperature could surpass 45°C this afternoon.

Specifically in the Yucatán Peninsula, clear to partly cloudy skies are expected in the region. Isolated rainfall in Campeche and Quintana Roo, no rain in Yucatán. Warm in the morning and extremely hot in the afternoon. Southerly winds of 15 to 30 km/h with gusts of 40 to 60 km/h in the peninsula.

On the other hand, meteorologist Juan Antonio Palma from Yucatán meteorology indicates that due to the influence of a high-pressure system in the mid-levels of the troposphere, an extremely hot environment will be perceived in most of the region throughout Monday.
