The Secretary of Education of the Government of the State of Yucatan, Liborio Vidal Aguilar, was received with applause and ovations during his entrance to the facilities of the Municipal Committee of the National Action Party in Merida, who offered members of the subcommittees and neighbors of the capital of Yucatan, a conference in which he addressed the main achievements made over the two years since he took office.

In a packed Manuel Gómez Morin auditorium, Vidal Aguilar said he was very happy to be with the PAN family, with the structure of the subcommittees and to have them open the doors of the municipal committee, and asked the PAN members to go out into the streets to talk about the achievements of Mauricio Vila’s government.

“I come first to tell you as a friend, as a businessman, as a citizen that I am at your service”; he said accompanied by Arturo León Itzá, president of the PAN Municipal Committee.

When speaking of the great projects for the integral development of Yucatan, the official exposed that the programs with the greatest impact were the “State English Agenda” which at the moment has been able to benefit more than 55 thousand students in 30 municipalities as well as Yucatan Digital with a current coverage of 1,586 public schools.

“Governor Mauricio Vila asked me for the Segey to be an open-door secretariat and that is what we have been doing because the most important thing is the closeness with the entire school community, with teachers, mothers, fathers and in general with all of us who make up the school collective.”

At the end of the presentation, several subcommittee leaders in the city asked to speak. Among them Mrs. Margarita Miranda expressed her gratitude that at 62 years of age she was about to finish high school. Also José Raúl Chuc, resident of the Pacabtún neighborhood extended his congratulations to the official, and took the opportunity to mention that he has been a PAN militant for more than twenty years, as well as telling of an important episode in his life, since at 70 years of age he has just finished a professional career.

Arturo León Itzá thanked the supporters of the blue-white party for their interest in the development of the school atmosphere and the advances in infrastructure, technology and learning thanks to the impulse of Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal and his impetus to invest in education for the students of the entire Yucatecan territory.
