According to the Secretary of Economic Development and Labor (Sefoet), Ernesto Herrera Novelo, since 2019 to date, the 123 companies that sell their products in the official Made in Yucatán store on Mercado Libre have sold over 38,000 products nationwide.
The official explained that this translates into an economic impact of around 40 million pesos for the hundred companies that sell through the platform, offering everything from handicrafts to innovative products and technologies.
He mentioned that over 42 man-hours have been invested to provide companies with advice from specialists, ensuring that their listings have accurate descriptions and thus increasing their sales on this platform.
It is worth noting that Yucatán was one of the first states to embrace the e-commerce market through Mercado Libre, and during this administration, more than 347 companies have been trained and guided to promote the Made in Yucatán brand nationwide.
