Mauricio Vila, the governor of Yucatán, expressed his interest in the presidential candidacy for PAN in 2024, provided that the circumstances are appropriate.
During a party meeting, he explained that his participation would depend on remaining in office for a few more months and ensuring that state projects are not threatened.
He affirmed that Yucatán is his priority, so he could not commit immediately unless his aspirations and the interests of the state can work together.
Among the projects are the expansion of the Port of Progreso, the elevated viaduct in the same municipality, the “Va y ven” transportation system with all its routes, the Ie-tram, and the construction of new hospitals.
Vila leads the list of opposition candidates and is one of the governors with the highest approval ratings.
