With a focus on sustainable tourism, the seventh edition of the expo has opened its doors, featuring over 100 exhibitors from various industries offering products and services designed for environmental care at the Siglo XXI Convention Center.
During these three days, participants can attend the lecture “Myths and Realities of Yucatán’s Wildlife,” given by MGA. Toshio Yokoyama Cobá, Director of Environmental Management and Conservation at the Secretariat of Sustainable Development. There will also be a panel discussion titled “Visions for the Development of Sustainable Tourism in the State of Yucatán,” presented and moderated by María Andrade Hernández, Executive Director of Pronatura Península de Yucatán.
Likewise, the aim is to capture the attention of the younger generation and raise awareness about climate change and how to preserve the environment. This effort also includes adults, with the intention of instilling environmental education in order to recreate sustainable practices in their homes with their families.
