Donald Trump declared himself not guilty after appearing in a court hearing on Tuesday in Miami, Florida, where 37 charges were read against him. Out of these charges, 31 correspond to the offense classified as deliberate withholding of national defense information.
The other charges he faces include conspiracy to obstruct justice, corrupt concealment of a document or record, concealment of a document in a federal investigation, and making false statements and representations.
The former U.S. president claims that it is all part of a “witch hunt” launched by Joe Biden, the current president, in response to an “electoral interference” campaign.
The investigation against Trump is being conducted following a raid on his mansion in Mar-a-Lago, where more than 11,000 official documents were found, including a large number classified as secret and top-secret.
