June 10, 2023.- Two of Donald Trump’s defense attorneys dropped out of the case Friday, a day after the former U.S. president was indicted on federal charges of illegally withholding classified documents, obstruction and other crimes.
The announcement by attorneys John Rowley and Jim Trusty could lead to further legal complications ahead of Trump’s scheduled appearance in federal court in Miami on Tuesday over the documents case.
“This morning we tendered our resignation as counsel to President Trump,” the two attorneys said in a statement. “It has been an honor to have spent the last year defending him and we know he will be vindicated.”
