Only elementary, preschool, primary and secondary students from Yucatan and other states of the country will be required to attend school this Saturday.
Therefore, this Saturday, June 17, parents in Yucatan will have to take their children to the schools where different activities will take place.
Why are there classes on Saturday, June 17?
Leticia Ramírez, head of the SEP, announced that next Saturday, June 17, elementary school students will have to attend classes, as there will be a campaign against drug consumption. During the day, cultural, recreational and sports activities will take place in schools, parks and sports and community centers.
According to a statement issued by the SEP, classes on Saturday, June 17 will start at 10 a.m. and not in their normal schedule, since there will be no classes and only educational activities.
“It is about all of us taking into account the importance of preventing addictions, from 10 a.m. we will be doing activities all over the country, the important thing is to show a national force that is for the addiction prevention and wellness campaign,” explained the head of Public Education.
