A fisherman, approximately 30 years old, lost his life due to decompression while he was at least 63 miles into the sea.

The incident occurred at the Celestún port, where the vessel known as Negrita 2 arrived, crewed by other men who were transporting the body of the mentioned young man.

According to the captain, the man suffered decompression, so they quickly headed to the port where his death could only be confirmed.

Municipal authorities arrived at the scene and informed the State Attorney General’s Office to carry out the necessary investigations.
