On Friday, July 14th, low-pressure channels extending over the interior and southeastern regions of Mexico, combined with the influx of moisture from the Pacific Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, and Caribbean Sea, will cause showers and heavy rain with thunderstorms and gusty winds in the central, eastern, and southeastern states of the Mexican Republic, according to the National Meteorological Service (SMN).

Specifically in the Yucatán Peninsula, partly cloudy skies are expected in the morning, and in the afternoon, cloudy skies with intervals of showers in Yucatán, as well as isolated rain in Campeche and Quintana Roo, all accompanied by thunderstorms. The morning will be mild, while the afternoon will be extremely hot. East winds of 10 to 25 km/h with gusts of 40 to 60 km/h are expected in Campeche and Yucatán.

Meteorologist Juan Antonio Palma from Meteorología Yucatán also indicates that an extremely hot and muggy environment is expected on Friday. Additionally, scattered light rain is forecasted in the three peninsular states due to the influence of a new tropical wave.
