The Great Museum of the Mayan World was the venue for the fourth edition of Road to Innovate Mexico, an initiative by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom that aims to bring together entrepreneurs who are generating innovative technologies and businesses in Mexican territory.

The Innovate Summit is an initiative that seeks to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and productivity in Central American economies, providing a space for reflection on emerging projects that seek to generate positive changes in the region.

This event, held in the city of Mérida, was promoted by the Yucatecan Institute of Entrepreneurs and featured several entrepreneurs from the region. Leticia Jiménez Ramos from the Piñuela brand took first place in the social entrepreneurship category, becoming the first Yucatecan company to win a national category in this international competition.

During the presentation of the Road to Innovate Mexico finalists, projects in different categories such as smart cities, technology, and social impact were showcased. The entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to access the platform and community of the Innovate Entrepreneurship Programme and represent Mexico in the final event to be held in Guatemala on November 16th.

The event, which brought together trends in the world of entrepreneurship, featured high-level presentations by figures in the entrepreneurial field, such as Alejandro Souza, Founder and Director of Pixza, who spoke about social impact entrepreneurship and the importance of the leaders that Mexico needs.

María José Salcedo Campos, the Project Coordinator for Mexico at the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, detailed that this edition of Road to Innovate Mexico solidifies its position.

Additionally, other winners included José Luis Ortíz from Puebla, representing CPlantae in the smart cities category, and Daniela Correa from Monterrey, whose project sinCarbono took first place in the technology entrepreneurship category.
