At the City Hall we encourage municipal agencies to propose administrative processes that improve and innovate the services and procedures we offer to citizens, mainly to simplify procedures, reduce response time and take care of the economy of families, said Mayor Renan Barrera Concha.

The Mayor stated that the establishment of state-of-the-art processes in Merida was possible thanks to the will and service vocation of the municipal officials, because this teamwork to add proposals and develop them allows the city to be more efficient and agile every day to serve the population.

In order to develop this teamwork and exchange of experiences, Barrera Concha informed that in recent days the First Internal Forum of Improvement Teams of the Municipality of Merida was held, where City Hall officials presented 22 projects.

“The enthusiasm and great participation shown by our public servants was reflected in each of the creative and innovative proposals they presented, aimed at improving the services we provide to citizens,” he said.

Aquiles Sanchez pointed out that in this first forum the ingenuity and creativity of the participating teams stood out, because they presented illustrative and ingenious ideas to contribute to offer a better service to the population.

The official added that among the proposals presented were: Reduction of payment time to contractors, Increase in productivity in the attention of tree pruning reports, Women in alliance accompanying life projects, For my right to free transit during carnival, Improvement in the efficiency of the potable water service in the commissaries of the Municipality of Merida.

Also, Improved attention to requests for information on the location of spaces in the Xoclán cemetery, Improving supervision processes to reduce construction times, and Successful follow-up of outstanding entrepreneurs, among others.

In general, he added, the quality and interest of the people who work to support the citizens in different areas was appreciated, who following the quality model of the City Council, have generated ideas and have applied them for the benefit of all, improving their services, taking advantage of available materials, reducing costs and attention times.

Finally, he said that adopting a continuous improvement system for their work center, allows them to acquire tools and ideas for a better development as professionals or in their personal lives.
