The IE-TRAM Station, which will depart towards its five routes in Mérida, Umán, and Kanasín, will start from the Grand Park La Plancha.

There will be three IE-TRAM routes connecting more than 137 neighborhoods in three municipalities, also linking with 80 educational centers and two stations of the Tren Maya, which are Teya and Umán, with the Grand Park La Plancha.

This electric system will have 32 operating units, which will transport more than 25,000 users daily and is expected to be operational by the end of 2023.

The units will have technological advancements and will be equipped with USB ports, a geolocator, as well as facilities for people with disabilities to have access.

The IE-TRAM will start operating on the La Plancha-Kanasín route in December, while the rest will begin functioning in early 2024.

Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal shared photographs of the upcoming IE-TRAM Station at the Grand Park La Plancha, which will have 5 bays for the units, a control and monitoring center, loading area, waiting rooms, and electronic payment access points for this new route of the “Va y Ven” Transportation System.

This project is already 50% complete, and along with the 39th street and Kanasín and Teya routes, the entire route will be finished by mid-August to begin operations in December.
