The work and sensitivity in the strokes of 36 paintings give life to Vanguardias Pictóricas, an exhibition that is located in the Harbor shopping plaza as part of the strategy of Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal to provide spaces of expression to the creators, in addition to bringing artistic manifestations closer to the citizens.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Loreto Villanueva Trujillo, head of the Secretariat of Culture and the Arts (Sedeculta), who thanked the manager of the mall for the opportunity to allow artists to show their progress because these public spaces can also be places that bring people closer to art and culture. She also congratulated the work of each of the students who at the end of their course were able to elaborate the pieces that make up the exhibition, thanks to the guidance of the workshop instructor Houston Ortegón Casanova.

Vanguardias Pictóricas is the result of the themes that were addressed during the months of classes, elaborating paintings inspired by emblematic works of masters from different schools and periods.

During the workshop, they studied the framing and forms, the technique of gouache, the basics of painting, an introduction to oil painting and the pictorial currents that helped them develop the ability to apply their knowledge in practice and foster appreciation, understanding and conservation of cultural heritage.

Lucy Arceo Núñez, Silvia Cimé Canté, Teresita Dorantes, Gloria Guerrero Ruiz, Rebeca Hernández de la Luz, Lina Lara Navarrete, Teresita Pardenilla Cruz, Ileana Rivas Rosado, Beatriz Rosado Marrero and Silvia Samperio Ortiz are participating in the exhibition, which is located on the second level of the plaza and will remain open until tomorrow.
