A 39-year-old woman motorcyclist from Yaxkukul died this Tuesday afternoon due to the injuries she suffered when she was run over by a truck when the first one entered the Mérida-Motul federal highway without precaution as it left the junction to Mocochá.
The events occurred around 5 p.m. at kilometer 16, when the motorcyclist left Mocochá to join the federal highway but did not notice the truck that was approaching and was collided.
After the impact, she was thrown from the motorcycle about 80 meters and fell face up on the right side of the road, where she died.
The red truck, with plates from the State of Mexico and driven by a woman bound for Tizimín, carried a load of lamps, according to the husband, who was co-driver.
