On this Wednesday, August 2nd, the offices of the Capitol in Washington DC were evacuated following an alert of an alleged armed attacker, prompting swift action from the authorities.
Tom Manger, Chief of Capitol Police, reported that it “could have been a false alarm,” as they have not located the individual despite an intense search throughout the buildings.
“So far, nothing. No one has heard shots,” and “there are no casualties,” he specified.
The incident occurs shortly before the appearance of former President Donald Trump, accused of attempting to overturn the 2020 elections that led to the Capitol assault on January 6th.
