Cancun has been classified as one of the top 10 preferred destinations for American travelers this summer, according to the insurer Allianz Partners USA, for the seventh consecutive year, as reported by Mayor Ana Paty Peralta.
The Mayor highlighted that Cancun leads the distinction among American vacationers, following preferences for destinations such as San Jose del Cabo and Puerto Vallarta.
Ana Paty Peralta added that along with Orlando, Florida, the municipality is at the top of the lists as favorite destinations for memorable vacations.
Likewise, she explained that according to the report from the Federal Civil Aviation Agency, in the first half of 2023, Cancun ranked in the top three for international operations, with the routes: Dallas/Fort Worth-Cancun, Houston-Cancun, and Chicago-Cancun.
This significant air activity also reflects in the destination’s hotel occupancy, registering 85 percent weekly occupancy and 81 percent cumulative occupancy for the month of July 23 to 29.
Ana Paty Peralta emphasized that the destination is a leader and example in the field, which is why Cancun is a tourism success story, where efforts are made every day to continue receiving visitors and promoting its natural richness.
