Andrés Manuel López Obrador, president of Mexico, declared this Friday in a conference that he sent a letter to Joe Biden, his counterpart from the United States, in which he thanked him for his immigration policy.
He said that he expresses his appreciation for opening a legal path for migrants, in reference to the app to request asylum and the delivery of visas to people from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela.
In addition, that he is the only president “in decades” who has not built a wall “much less has acted like the governor of Texas, who has put buoys and barbed wire (in the Rio Grande).”
