Calle 47 will be a “Shaded Boulevard”

Renán Barrera, the mayor of Mérida, announced that the tourist and gastronomic boulevard will be lined with trees, in response to citizens’ requests.

“I want to confirm to everyone who has asked us on social media that it will be a fully tree-lined boulevard, the 47th street will have many trees,” he stated during his report.

The entire 47th street, which will connect to the Grand Park of La Plancha and Paseo de Montejo, will be included. The intervention also involves renovating the facades of the houses along this street and underground wiring.
