In an effort to enhance the well-being of families in Progreso, Mayor Julián Zacarías Curi has shown his commitment by leading an initiative that has had a significant impact on the community.
Joined by his wife, Alma Rosa Gutiérrez Novelo, honorary president of the municipal DIF (Integral Family Development), as well as councilors Dulce Soberanis and Claudette Camboa, and other members of the City Council, Julián Zacarías carried out the distribution of 44 orthopedic devices aimed at improving the quality of life for those in need.
Prioritizing the well-being of Progreso’s residents and its surrounding areas has been a consistent focus for Mayor Zacarías. The requests for orthopedic devices, which are received by the Progreso City Council through the DIF, were addressed on this occasion by providing various equipment: 28 wheelchairs, 6 “burritos” (a type of mobility aid), 6 walker chairs, 3 canes, and a pair of crutches.
This action is a testament to Mayor Julián Zacarías’s ongoing commitment to contribute to the well-being of the Progreso community. The Progreso City Council reaffirms its support for families, demonstrating their willingness to make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
