Yolanda “N”, AKA “La Güera”, leader of the Sinaloa Cartel in Quintana Roo, was arrested in Campeche, in a coordinated operation between the authorities of both states.
The woman who is the head of a cell of the Sinaloa Cartel in Quintana Roo was arrested along with Pedro “N”, one of his hitmen and both are accused of their probable participation in the homicide of four people in the municipality of Benito Juárez, on June 18.
The statement from the Quintana Roo Prosecutor’s Office reports that the homicides for which they accuse the leader of the Sinaloa Cartel in that area occurred “in a context of crimes against health, where allegedly Yolanda ordered the murders, -in two different events-, for not complying with an agreement (with the Cartel.”
On June 18, local media reported a double murder at the Los Cuates hotel, in Cancun, against ranchers from Veracruz and two others who traveled with them, whose bodies were found on Huayacan avenue in the same area.
Police sources indicate that Yolanda “N” is the mother of Zuryzaday Villaseñor Méndez, alias “El Zury”, operator of the Sinaloa Cartel arrested last Friday, July 23, in Cancun, Quintana Roo.
