More than 50 soccer teams meet in Progreso, Yucatan for the Beach Soccer ‘Mundialito’

The 11th edition of the Mundialito de Futbol de Playa was launched at the Playón del Puerto de Progreso, an event organized by Fútbol Playa Mx in coordination with the Yucatan Sports Institute and the Progreso City Council with its sponsors, where more than 1,200 players of national and international stature who will come to compete from Monday, July 31 to August 13.

The states of Quintana Roo with Playa del Carmen and Puerto Morelos, Campeche with its municipalities of Calkiní and Campeche, and Yucatán with Mérida, Cacalchén, Kanasín, Tixkokob, Umán, Ixil, and Progreso, are represented with their players from children’s and youth categories to participate until August 6 and the free, sub-20 and retro categories will compete from August 6 to 13.

Prizes will be awarded to the first 4 places in each category as well as a trophy for the scoring champion and the best goalkeeper, hoping that the games will be held in a round-robin system to later draw the winners, guaranteeing 3 final games, one to each category of the participating teams.
