Taylor Swift captivated her fans in Mexico, and vendors took advantage of the opportunity to make a profit by selling “souvenirs” from the concerts at Foro Sol. Those who also succumbed to the creativity of unofficial merchandise were members of the team of the performer of songs like “Cruel Summer,” “Blank Space,” and “Midnight Rain.”
Dozens of booths selling T-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, caps, keychains, and all sorts of commemorative items from The Eras Tour were set up around Gate 6 of Foro Sol, one of the entrances to the venue where Swift held 4 consecutive concerts this weekend.
What caught the attention of some “swifties” was that some members of Taylor Swift’s team wandered among the stalls of unofficial merchandise. There, they came across images, calendars, and stickers of “Saint Taylor Swift,” depicting the singer as a religious figure.
A couple of TikToks show men and women from the singer’s team, dressed in all black, walking among the stalls located at Gate 6, outside Foro Sol.
The action caught the attention of “swifties,” who expressed through comments their thoughts such as, “To think about the high probability that Taylor will see all of this firsthand, I hope to see her reaction,” “I think Taylor herself sent them to buy for her, who else? (sic).” While other social media users commented, “They are checking how to improve the official merch.”
Some fans who noticed the team purchasing a poster depicting the singer as a Sacred Heart wrote, “There’s nothing more Latin than Taylor’s Sacred Heart,” “Her ‘Saintaylor’ calendar for Andrea’s kitchen!”
This Sunday, Taylor Swift gave her final concert in Mexico City as part of her The Eras Tour, which takes her to the United States, Europe, Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada, and, for the first time, Mexico and Latin America.
