In his second Actions Report, the mayor of Mérida, Renán Barrera Concha, announced the upcoming implementation of three new programs to support Merida residents, primarily focusing on sectors such as women and youth in the Yucatecan capital.
Firstly, Barrera Concha revealed the launch of the “Support for Widows” program.
Likewise, the mayor disclosed the plan to “Double the investment in transportation scholarships for students and disabled individuals,” along with a “Stimulus for Autonomous Women,” targeting women who are pursuing their education while also being mothers, enabling them to continue their studies without leaving school.
Barrera Concha emphasized that in Mérida, the city has learned to grow justly, where economic and social development go hand in hand, and taxes from major developments are utilized to bring infrastructure to all corners of the city.
