The aspiring candidate for the candidacy of the Frente Amplio Por México addressed issues of security, housing, and wages.
Security, certainty in electricity service, housing improvement, wages, and generating electricity through the sea were the topics discussed between the business sector and Xóchitl Gálvez Ruiz, aspiring Presidential candidate for the Frente Amplio Por México.
During a press conference held in Cancun, the candidate for the PAN-PRD-PRI alliance candidacy stated that this meeting took place with various economic sectors in the state, including business owners from various chambers, such as Coparmex.
However, she acknowledged that issues such as strengthening security and combating extortion were discussed. She also addressed ending blackouts and proposed generating energy from the sea.
“Another topic we discussed was human capital, but not just training. There’s a serious housing issue for workers here, and the government needs to reintroduce housing subsidies, as families are invading lands and living conditions are cramped. Transportation is another issue, as workers are commuting from far distances, and we need to address transportation to improve their quality of life.”
Regarding the Tren Maya (Maya Train) project, which was also discussed in the meeting, the senator on leave of absence recognized that not everything about it is negative, although she believed that the planning was inadequate.
