Kinchil, Yucatan, September 26th, 2023.- In less than 24 hours two falls of a man and a woman were reported.
The first stumble occurred this Sunday on the stairs of the main entrance of the Cristo de Amor church, where a septuagenarian who was in a drunken stupor, tried to descend the steps when he lost his balance and fell from the ‘piquito’.
Immediately the parishioners reported the incident to the Municipal Police, whose uniformed officers called for paramedics. Fortunately the drunkard, a native of Izamal, did not present any serious injuries, other than blood spillage when he broke his lip. However, his friend with whom he traveled to this town for a visit, did not show his lights and remained seated on a bench in the park while he recovered.
This Monday afternoon, Mrs. Wendy B., 43 years old, had an accident at work in the kitchen of Pan de Dios, located on 25th Street by 22nd and 24th of this town.
The Kinchileña helper was finishing her workday, but at one point she lost her balance from her own height and fell face up.
Due to the force of the blow, her colleagues asked her not to move and requested an ambulance.
Wendy was finally taken in Red Cross unit Yuc-010 to the IMSS in the city of Umán for further medical evaluation.
